YES! Chalk another one up for tenacious communities dedicated to saving and preserving their waves. As reported by the Save Honolua Coalition, $20 million has been set aside in Hawai’i’s state budget to make Honolua Bay a state park. The bay, and the world-class right hand reef/point that peels along the cliffs below, is a very unique and special place for locals, tourists and surfers alike. Having seen explosive development for the last two decades, Maui’s Upper Westside can now sigh a big breath of relief and say, “We did it!” Congratulations to Elle, Wayno and the rest of the Save Honolua Coalition members as well as the thousands of people worldwide that contributed to saving one of the most beautiful and amazing places on this earth. Aloha.
Gosh. I love film (and this woman). Just got this roll of black and white back and am floored by the tones and contrast of the Ilford HP5 400. I’m really stoked on this film. Using the arrows to the left and right, scroll through the photo set below for more. Enjoy!

Megsa found a cool old hatchet while we were out antiquing the other day. Something tells me she was thinking about ways to use it on yours truly. But maybe not. Just a hunch.
